Not a great experience

Pros

Work/life balance is ok (7am-5pm or so on avg)

Cons

The London office (trading floor) wasnt great in terms of atmosphere - teams felt disjointed and didnt have great relationships. Teams were quite segregated (despite proximity) and disrespectful to each other as opposed to seeing each other as colleagues and working towards common goals. Going to the gym within the building during your lunch hour was frowned upon as others saw eating a sandwich at your desk whilst working was the norm. Compensation package is avg at best Claw back clasue on bonuses is ridiculous (leave within 12 months of being paid a bonus and you are contractually obliged to pay ot back!)

Pros

Good pay, bonus, a lot of responsibility

Cons

Zero work-life balance, people can be quite arrogant, it’s normal for seniors to yell at juniors, cut-throat and toxic environment in general
