Pros

The benefits are very reasonable, the local clientèle is for the most part kind and relaxed, corporate policy is generally fair with employees in mind. Safety is stressed by all levels.

Cons

The pay is as of right now unfair due to previous hiring procedures newer hires are paid more than those who have been at the store for a few years. It remains to be seen if the situations are being corrected during the annual star reviews. Also it often seems as though the higher levels of management within districts or regions have almost absolute power, foregoing store management and even occasionally corporate policies.

Pros

Big Company with Lots of opportunities. Fairly quick growth and advancement due to a fairly high turnover rate.

Cons

They treate the hourly employees awful and the pay is not great. They do not listen to their employee's needs and requirements and lie to them about things that are going on. We were told for 9 months that they had ordered the parts to fix the conveyor we used, but we never saw them. That forced us to do extra work and take a lot longer to do the work required of us.

Pros

My summer job working at Lowe's was my first real job. I worked there all three of the summers while I was in college. The pay was very competitive for seasonal employment and it turned out to be a great place to learn about work and life in general. Management was always willing to work around my vacation and other appointments which was appreciated. I met a lot of good people though this job and it turned out to be a great experience in my life.

Cons

Since Lowe's operates in a seasonal industry, the summer time was incredibly busy but I can't complain since that is the only thing that created demand for my job.
