Pros

I’ve been with the company for two years and have experienced both inspiring highs and some disappointing lows. There is a lot to admire, but also areas where improvement is needed. Strong Work-Life Balance: Many employees enjoy true flexibility, with a hybrid work model and the ability to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. Support for Personal Growth: The company encourages volunteering, participation in affinity groups, and offers a variety of wellness options like onsite yoga and dance classes. Campus Life: The campus is vibrant and energetic — it honestly feels more like a resort than an office. Company Culture: Leadership is composed of genuinely good people who care, and the broader employee base is filled with smart, mission-driven individuals passionate about making a positive impact. Meaningful Work: The products we build are changing lives and shaping the future of engineering and science. It feels like we’re on the front lines of innovation. Compensation & Fairness: The company is profitable, pays well, treats people fairly, and overall creates an environment where most feel respected and valued. Fun & Engaging Atmosphere: From company outings to great food options, there’s a strong sense of community and enjoyment.

Cons

Inconsistent Work-Life Experience: While flexibility exists, some teams operate like mini-prisons, with managers patrolling the halls and enforcing desk time in a way that brings morale to the lowest points. Lack of Accountability for Bad Managers: Poor management often goes unchecked. Managers are not reviewed anonymously by their teams, and some truly problematic individuals remain in power without consequence. No Feedback Loop: There are no regular satisfaction surveys or structured opportunities for employees to give honest, anonymous feedback. It feels like leadership doesn’t actually want to know how people are really doing. Underperformance Not Addressed: Some employees who are clearly not a good fit stay in roles far too long, which can negatively impact team dynamics and productivity. Cons Inconsistent Work-Life Experience: While flexibility exists, some teams operate like mini-prisons, with managers patrolling the halls and enforcing desk time in a way that kills morale. Lack of Accountability for Bad Managers: Poor management often goes unchecked. Underperformance Not Addressed: Some employees who are clearly not a good fit stay in roles far too long, which can negatively impact team dynamics and productivity. Final Thoughts I came in with high expectations and, in many ways, the company has delivered. But I’m also surprised by the blind spots — especially around management accountability and the lack of a transparent feedback culture. There’s huge potential here, and I hope leadership chooses to listen more actively to make this a truly great place for everyone
