MathWorks is a challenging, highly technical environment. If you want to stretch your engineering knowledge, it's a great place to work. The people are also great - collaborative, smart, fun and hard working. They provide everyone with an office, so when you need to think quietly, you can. But balance with discussion areas where teams can come together and brainstorm, or just have some fun.
Cons
It's gotten big, so you have to work hard to stand out. MathWorks has a strong culture and it's not for everyone - several find that they just don't fit.
