Pros

Overall it's a pretty good company to work for. I've been working full time for about 8 months now, the company is evolving fast and has a lot of ambition. As an engineer, I got the opportunity to work with knowledgable people on technical challenges. There is still a lot to build so the work is exciting and rewarding. As a person, this is the first time that I work in a company with such a strong culture. Took me about 3 months to get used to it, but I truly believe that the company cares about the employees as they push for self-improvement.

Cons

The strong culture is sometimes a bit too much. I'm not really a fan of all the hashtags and the praise. But once you pass that superficial impression, you find genuine people that are doing their best to move the company forward. As it's still a startup, salaries are a bit below the rest of the market but compensate with great perks (such as electric scooter)

Pros

As a highlight of my current experience, I would say that since the company is quite young and still developing in different aspects, proactivity in terms of proposing initiatives is very welcome. Other pros would be: - Young environment. - Direct impact on the product - Opportunities to grow in your career path. - Transparent communication. - Good work tools. - Good work-life balance. - Modern office in a central location. - Company events. - Good benefits.

Cons

We have a development budget plus a full day to use it for any work-related training, conferences or books, but it would be nice to have more onsite tech training.

Pros

All-in-all Personio is a great company to work for, they try to keep their employees happy. The atmosphere is great it is generally really welcoming to different cultures, the people are the best part of Personio and they know that and it's a totally awesome way of growing a strong work ambience. There are really amazing people working here and really outstanding things to learn from all sides, from people in Sales to Engineering to Marketing, truly Personio has garnered some amazing talent. The benefits are great, there are tons of things Personio likes to do together, such as hosting music and beer on Fridays or company trips and the like they're all great to have. There is also a large amount of transparency as to how the company is trying to get better and wants to receive tips on how to get better.

Cons

Normal start-up culture cons, Missing procedures for career growth Office space is not sufficient, though with COVID this is not an issue at the moment Somehow, coated and rosy language around progression and your faults something you would more expect around a big coorporation, hard to get feedback and an emphasis on the negatives is never explicit but for sure is focused on. As well as upper tiers of management, not so much day-to-day management, could do with accepting public criticism better instead of returning with dismissal or retribution.
