Pros

As every fast-paced startup setup, things are changing quite fast and a lot needs to be done. This offered me the possibility to evolve, to push myself to learn new things, and to perform better. People trust me, which leads to a lot of freedom in the technical implementation. I also enjoy the multicultural set up in the Engineering department, leading to a lot of interesting interactions!

Cons

The Product and Engineering department offices could be improved. And this is something management is already focusing on. I can't wait to see it done!

Pros

- Good culture - Very transparent - Lot of benefits - Flexible work - Some good trainings in the company - You don't need to work so much if you want (I don't consider this as a pro, however a lot of people do)

Cons

At least for engineering: - Very different performance evaluation based on your team team: Your engineering manager will judge you to see whether you deserve or not a promotion. In one team it can be very easy, in another one, doing the same work and having the same role, it can be almost impossible - as it's mostly based on the EM perspective. They of course get some feedback from peer, but this is not taken so much in account in the end; - Very different approaches EM approaches: Some of them are really technical (without so much personal skills), some of them are just making interviews, and just a few, really care about you and try to help you growth / mentor you. - No career path defined yet. They say they have, but still, not clear, just could see a few dudes moving from Junior -> Professional. There's a lot of promises in the air for more than a year, but are just promises. Recently they even announced a team lead position in the engineering, which is very confusing and doesn't increase your salary - You just get an informal title (and more work) - Very crazy difference of salary among folks with the same leve. If you are starting now, there's a chance that you earn EASILY 15-20k more than a developer working for the same level for more than 2 years in the company, just because the company is desesparated looking for new developers. So while this is a very good business in case you are applying for a position now, is terrible for some good guys working there for a while. - Same as above: Because new hires have 10% of their gross salary in equity, and now the company is paying much more compared to before, usually these new hirings have almost the same amount of equity compared to people working for a long in the company - Even if the level is not so high in the engineering department, there are some exceptions, and those exceptions are really good - and most of them are working for a while in the company (>2 years). However, usually the company will prefer to hire someone from outside to occupy a higher level role (e.g directos, leads, and so) than promoting someone in house. - The Design Team coordination is terrible, most of them don't have experience nor a true leader to help them to grow. Because of this, the UI still is very bad, with a lot of flaws - and even after hiring > 10 designers and one lead, the NPS related to UI are still decreasing.

Pros

- Quick, professional and super friendly recruiters - Well adjusted onboarding during Covid - Real startup vibe with strong focus on culture fit

Cons

- Onboarding is done in a combination of remote and onsite, making it hard to really feel like you are part of the onboarding group when joining remotely via video to a meeting room filled with people talking and connecting
