Pros

Pay is ok Some nice colleagues

Cons

Personio is a very chaotic place to work. There are constant mixed messages from leadership and little strategy. As soon as you start working on something the priorities change so a lot of work is wasted. - The targets are impossible to reach outside of Germany - The product does not fit any markets outside of Germany. The product also has a poor UI compared to competitors and has not advanced much - People managers have little training or experience - While culture is touted as being strong, I found this to be a lie and there was little positive about the culture. Based on recent employee surveys the culture seems to have turned toxic. - Very junior colleagues with too much responsibility thrust upon them so they fail - A lot of turnover, particularly in sales - There is real fear about competitors, and a desire to try and copy what they are doing, especially the US ones.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. Personio is currently going through a period of tremendous growth. Our teams are expanding, processes are evolving, and with that our customer support services and product offering is being extended as well. All to make sure we can keep exceeding customer expectations. We’re aware that with all of that growth, comes a bit of ambiguity and it can feel chaotic at times. But this also gives us the opportunity to learn and grow every day, which is exactly what we want to be doing at our stage of business. Nonetheless, we always want to enable our teams to do their best work, and we are already working to implement new and different training and adding to our processes that are already in place – both for our leaders and for Personios throughout the Sales team. Leadership is also continually working to evolve our go to market strategy and how we execute on it, collaborating across the company to ensure strong execution. If you’d like, we’d be happy to hear more about your experience and how we can continue to improve. Feel free to reach out at glassdoor@personio.de Best regards, Clare

Pros

- ok salary - friendly coworkers - free coffee and snacks - possibility to work from your own country for couple of months

Cons

- Sales Managers (especially high managers) have less experience than many sales agents. They have no clue of what they are doing. No leadership - Personio software is build for DE clients, that's it. It is not competitive at all out of Germany and couple of other countries - CLevels are trying all their best to look good on investors eyes in order to get money from them despite results are catastrophics - No strategy and road map - too many tools and processes for just basics daily tasks - During hiring process they sell themselves very well, they tell you hybrid is one or max 2 times per week at the office. However, once you start they basically force you to go at least 3 times - I want to highlight again the words: poor management, they are driving the company out of business step by step. I never seen such an incompetent team as Personio management (90% of them are completely lost).

Pros

There are so many cons that the little cons that were there didn’t matter. But great colleagues, food twice in office. Free drinks bar.

Cons

- They lied while hiring around targets. Hardly anyone gets them. - the lucky few who get to pass probation, who don’t even know how they did it, are in an endless loop. No promotion chances because of clear favouritism. - no transparency at all while taking decisions. - the managers don’t know what they’re doing. Thankfully one of them got laid off, I had hardly seen the guy do anything useful or related to work. - you can’t stand up to the management or provide them feedback. Everyone just blames the top management eventually.

Hello, thank you for taking a moment to provide us with this feedback. I’m sorry to hear that your Personio experience hasn’t been a positive one for you. Especially because, as a member of Sales leadership, I can say that we genuinely care about the wellbeing of our people and want to provide only a positive experience for our teams. We’re building a culture of regular feedback at Personio, including upwards feedback. We’ve build in multiple avenues for our teams to provide that feedback to their managers or above, like our anonymous engagement surveys, regular AMAs in Northern and Southern Europe monthly meetings, anonymous menti polls, and more. We are also focused on setting our Sales team members up for success for their next career steps, be that at Personio or elsewhere, through individualized development plans and transparent, consistent performance management frameworks. Again, thank you for taking the time to reach out with this feedback. Please also remember that our People Partner team is here to support you – they’re available for a confidential talk to help solve for situations just like this. Or, if you’re open to it, I would be happy to continue this conversation as well and talk more about how we can continue to improve. Please feel free to email me at samatha.ledger@personio.de.
