Pros

- Personio has great people who are dedicated to helping each other and having fun too. - I have made life long friends across my team and wider department that I'll forever cherish! - Lots of great non-monetary benefits - Loads of room to grow - Great office location in Dublin, right next to Train - my journey is always super fast, even from outside Dublin - Product is always being improved and developed

Cons

- Targets are totally unattainable - very few people have ever seen their full OTE and many have been fired or put on plans both pre and post probation - Our salary was only increased recently and now is at industry average - but still, the commission is impossible to earn with the current setup. - Generally, the managers that lead the SDR team are super inexperienced - learning as they go and incredibly prone to micro managing. They don't embody our culture and values or genuinely care about their team & the only one that did - left recently - quite telling!! - Inbound reps and outbound reps are treated like they are same level but paid very differently - lack of transparency. - When I interviewed, I was told that I would have the opportunity to work from abroad - and that I could "flex" between the office and home/remote - THIS IS NOT THE CASE! Every week we are pressured into going into the office, regardless of Covid situation - when we don't go in - passive aggressive remarks are made.

Hello, thank you for reaching out with this feedback. We take our employee experience very seriously and use feedback like this as an opportunity to continue to improve. We have recently implemented changes to our Sales targets and training based on similar feedback. This is aimed at helping each member of our teams succeed at each stage of their career at Personio. In addition, we’ve also recently revamped our salary bands so each role is paid at or above market, as well as creating a new leadership training program to ensure Personio’s leaders are enabled and empowered to enable and empower their teams. We’re sorry your experience did not match expectations and appreciate the feedback so we can continue to improve our culture and employee experience. Pros

- Competitive pay - Good benefits - Great colleagues

Cons

This one’s tough, and I’ll start by saying I really do want the company to succeed. Unfortunately, there are just too many issues that made this list long, and ultimately led me to leave: 1. Constantly shifting strategy: Every six months or so, something new comes up and the previous strategy gets pretty much forgotten. Nothing ever gets properly finished, which leads to half-baked initiatives being shipped or fully developed ones delivered with poor quality. 2. Micromanagement: They hire very talented, experienced people but don’t give them the space or autonomy to actually do their jobs. Even when risks and consequences are flagged, upper management makes the calls, and you’re left with no choice but to execute. Later, you’re held responsible (and often formally blamed) for the exact issues you warned about but were ignored on. 3. Toxic environment: Over the past 18 months, the culture has become heavy and somewhat toxic. Out of fear of layoffs and constant pressure, people are only looking out for themselves. This has created silos and a lack of collaboration, which causes problems across all levels of the business. 4. High leadership turnover: Senior leaders are leaving fast - VPs, Directors, Heads of, and even 3 C-level execs in the last year alone. While senior leadership insists there’s “no secret google folder” that these people have access to, it’s pretty clear that with their visibility, they know things others don’t, and that’s why they’re leaving. New senior hires get painted as saviors, only to leave within a year or so once they see the true state of the business and who they’re working for. 5. Poor investments: They’ve poured a huge amount of cash into a product that isn’t delivering ROI and by the looks of it, may never. 6. Layoffs and rehires: Like many companies, they’ve done layoffs as cost-cutting measures. But they don’t do proper due diligence, and later realize they actually need those roles. So, they recreate the very same teams they cut but under a new name and title. This breaks business continuity and adds even more chaos. 7. C-level claims to be leading with transparency, but in reality they sugar-coat what is really happening. I believe their intent is to not to kill morale, but people are adults and need to hear what is actually going on so they can truly help. By pretending that everything is great when in reality everyone knows it's not, creates resentment and confusion. It's a real shame that some people reached out asking for a referral and I've stirred them away from the company. I hope the board soon realizes that changes must happen at the highest of the ranks before it's too late.

Pros

- Diversity and inclusion - There are numerous events that foster a positive work environment. - There is (or was years ago) money and sufficient budget available to use and invest - Compensation is attractive and meets industry standards. - Opportunities for travel, offsites, and other benefits

Cons

- With the arrival of new leadership, the structure of the international sales team has been significantly disrupted: there have been unjustified layoffs, including the dismissal of recently hired employees, while some underperforming long-term staff members remain. This has led to a return of the toxic environment that existed a few years ago. - Strategic decision-making in leadership lacks a solid foundation based on data. The current strategy and processes seem disconnected from market realities, focusing solely on "sell, sell, sell" without analyzing why losses occur or considering customer needs. There is a clear lack of customer focus, and actions are taken without proper planning or reasoning. - The organizational culture is unfortunately poor, with some teams characterized by a toxic work environment. - Opportunities for professional growth are nonexistent. - Internal processes are poorly structured, and the lack of consistency is evident: some teams have the option to work from home, while others do not; expectations and KPIs vary without a clear rationale,... etc
