Pros

intelligence performance Porsche is much more than "just" an exclusive Sports Car manufacturer. We constantly set new standards. Including with our employees. If you want to build unique vehicles, you have to offer your employees something unique.

Cons

Porsche is a unique company with strong ideals. Everything we do bears the imprint of our values and our philosophy. We have a clear idea of who we are and how we do things. This allows us to remain true to our principles and to meet the high demands we place on ourselves. Regardless of what others are doing, we are committed to redefining our limits continuously and to setting new standards. Our vehicles should always be something special. We also expect extraordinary results when it comes to the profitability of the company. To achieve this, today and in the future, we rely on employees and managers who think just like Ferry Porsche did and who are always willing to go that extra mile

Pros

Well, it's a great product - no question about that. People at Porsche are really passionate about cars, and if you have petrol in your blood, it's the right place to be. If you are lucky, you can get a permit to drive the cars from the department's pool, and that is indeed a nice perk. Colleagues in general were very friendly and approachable. You can gain some "real" work experience, since you will fill the position of a full-time employee. Salary was fine for an internship, daily workload not too heavy. You are expected to do overtime, but once you have too many hours, they'll let you take days off. HR department was always helpful. I learned a lot, since I got good projects with a lot of responsibility. It's good to have the name Porsche in your CV, too.

Cons

- Porsche uses interns to replace full-time employees. This means that, depending on your position and the current projects, you have to do secretary's work or the work the full-time employees don't want to do themselves. On the other hand, you might also get assignments with responsibilities that go beyond a typical internship's focus, which is a great thing, and if you are willing to take that challenge, you will be able to gain a lot. - The promotion system is not clear, and form what I witnessed, it takes a long time to even get the first promotion. - Middle-management is over-worked and thus refuses to make important decisions, nonwithstanding of potential ramifications. - Although collegues are generally nice, there is a lot of gossiping, and there can be some "ellbow-mentality" amongst fellow interns. - Middle-management may raise your hopes to get the opportunity to write your thesis at Porsche, but it won't happen. Same goes for finding a job. They put your name in the "Praktikanten Pool", but since Porsche has so many interns every year, it's gonna be impossible to get a job through the bonus of "being a former intern"
