Pros

Free snacks in the office. You truly learn how to play the game in order to survive a toxic, faux friendly work environment. Many people stay because as long as you keep your head down and keep on producing work and make profit for them, you will be in the clear.

Cons

There are simply no growth opportunities its junior & mid-senior employees, and this is purposely done by design. Managers are known to play the favorites game based on demographics and popularity, and expect employees to work around the clock for little pay and little to no acknowledgement. In terms of compensation, the total compensation and bonus structure is fairly low compared to the size of the company and other companies in the industry. I have also seen so many employees that were unfairly laid off due to the negative political nature of the firm. I have witnessed many senior leaders that have also bullied and poorly treated junior members of the team for no reason and even when HR was notified, they turned a blind eye and didn't do enough to solve the situation due to the senior leader's position, tenure, and overall performance within the firm. Situations like these cause teams to not be able to trust their own colleagues and more importantly, employees are unable to fully trust the leadership that is in place. In addition, the WFH policy is abused by senior level managers. The WFH policy is vague on purpose and this has caused poor communication and confusion across teams. It seems as if some people can WFH whenever they please while some cannot, and there is no valid reason for how this works. Besides all the reasons above, I left the company due to the hypocritical nature of the company's leadership. You can never fully trust anyone there and it's definitely a sink or swim kind of environment. The company prides itself for being "diverse", and yet there is definitely a cookie cutter mold of the typical "Prologis" employee. If you don't fit the mold, you will definitely be outcasted and will not receive the same opportunities as someone who fits the mold of the group.

I'm sorry your experience with us was so negative. While I will try to address some of your comments here, please feel free to reach out to me directly. As you mentioned, we do conduct an anonymous employee engagement survey—and it’s worth noting that no leader or employee has access to who said what. The survey is two years old and began as a measurement to evolve the culture by capturing feedback from all levels and responding with actions tied to our company KPIs. If you feel you were reprimanded for speaking up during the survey and/or answering truthfully, again, please reach out to me directly. Our teams have been working hard to create more growth opportunities for our junior- to mid-level employees over the past three years. It's definitely a work in progress to make sure there is support for growing careers but we have had some big wins already. However, it is a marathon and there is room to improve. This is why we've begun working on programs to support this employee population better. Also, we just started working on a more formalized WFH policy—I would love to understand where the WFH incident you mention occurred. Finally, in support of creating an inclusive environment, we have zero-tolerance for inappropriate behavior! When notified, we take swift action in identifying the issues and working through them, including termination in some cases. Again, please feel free to reach out to me directly as I would be love to hear more feedback from you and sincerely appreciate your time spent with us.

Pros

Company has a lot of money and treats members well financially, offering several perks. Company has exciting goals and a large footprint in the industry. There is lots of potential here, if management would get it’s act together. The company has a solid foundation, and a little more patience and empathy would allow much more long-term growth.

Cons

The company has many inexperienced technical managers, and their poor interpersonal skills have created a toxic work environment. There is a lot of whispering about people behind closed doors, and very little direct constructive feedback. Diversity is not celebrated here; rather, it is frowned upon and discouraged by default. There are a lot of managers and very few individual contributors at this company. It is very unfair to place blame for the company’s lack of experience in new areas on the lower level team members. The middle management here has a very difficult time articulating its goals, and this has led to chaos and confusion further down the chain. WFH is abused by employees at all levels. This has caused poor communication across teams and has resulted in disconnected projects that progress very inefficiently. This company was just a small blip on the radar if my life. Despite that, I left this company nearly in a state of PTSD, due to the passive aggressive leadership and caustic work environment.

I am sorry you had a bad experience at Prologis. The information technology team has gone through a lot of change in the last year. But prides itself in creating a positive work environment for all our employees and while in most cases employees have responded well to the changes, in your case we clearly fell short. I am hoping you gave us some actionable feedback in your exit interview and if you’re comfortable doing so, please reach out to me and I would love to hear more specific feedback from you.

Pros

Lots of paid days off and other perks. Moving to posh downtown office in 2017. My current manager tries to help with career development.

Cons

Would make at least 10% more doing same thing, or less, for another company. They guilt/scare/pressure me into staying here, when I bring up doing something else. Management is only good in certain groups. This is a highly political office environment, where popularity, rather than knowledge or merit, garners promotions.
