Pros

Qualtrics is easily one of the best office environments in Provo. The office sits at the base of the mountains providing for a beautiful location and includes just about every fancy tech-company amenity you can think of. At the time of me writing this, we get free lunches, free snacks and drinks, and there's plenty of activities sprinkled throughout the office (Video Games, Ping Pong, Massage Chairs). The garden in the back is another amazing feature and is great for walks and time in nature. It's amazing how much the office increases the quality-of-life feeling. Personally, my hours are really good across the board. There are busy times of course, but for the most part, it's super fair. I can't speak for other teams though.

Cons

Two cons. First, pay is probably closer to mid-tier than high tier. This isn't because the compensation is low on its face, but because people can easily become over-qualified. I think the reason for this is because so many people want to work here that Qualtrics tends to have most of the leverage when hiring. Aka, Qualtrics gets the pick of the litter—they can easily hire higher talent for less pay. I've seen plenty of people who are probably a tad bit overqualified for their role but because the lifestyle and office perks are so good, they don't leave. Qualtrics definitely uses this fact to their advantage. For prospective employees, it's not a deal breaker, but it's good to be aware of. Second, for promotions and up-leveling, it can be very political. This is unfortunate, but it's not atypical. With that said, promos can take a LONG time. Sure, there are some that up-level fast, and sometimes doors open up. But as a rule of thumb, promos are slow, political, and stuck behind procedure.

Thank you for taking time to leave a review - we really appreciate it. I particularly love some of the callouts on what the Provo office has to offer. Promotions and internal mobility continue to be an important part of our people development strategy. Changes to promo criteria in the last several years does mean that we're mindful to promote individuals in their role when the business needs a more senior person in the role. When the role does not require more seniority to be successful, Qmobility is one of our best paths for major career growth. This absolutely has been a change in some ways, however, looking at our promotion rates and internal mobility rates, we continue to see healthy growth for our team.

Pros

Great company to work with

Cons

classic cons to any sales role having to cold call and run the initial steps of outbound, just try to promote quickly this company set you up to do so.

Thanks for leaving a review - and thanks for doing those cold calls! We know the early stages of a career can have some pretty big challenge, and we're grateful to see how our team grows through that to become the Sales org we have today. Thank you for being a part of that.

Pros

Great teammates, nice perks & benefits, work life balance is very high, base compensation is very competitive (but don't expect much, if any, movement over years)

Cons

If you are looking for promotions, compensation growth, bonus incentive, etc. Look elsewhere. These opportunities really don't exist and probably won't for 5 more years minimum. PE firm is focused on cash growth through acquisition which means chaos, high employee churn, and minimal internal movement. Qualtrics is now for moving around money, not a "bet on your future" place. For stability with average effort, this is a great option.

Thanks for taking some time out to leave a review. It's very appreciated, as is the time you've spent building this company with the rest of us. The team remains committed to having a great employee experience, and has done a lot of work to ensure we are the kind of organization to bet your future on. We've grounded promotions in business need to ensure we have a healthy organization. We've continued to have a layered compensation packages that keeps us competitive and rewards the team well as the business performs well. While we have absolutely seen the business change over the years, that commitment to being a great employer remains. We appreciate the feedback shared during the Pulses to help us focus that commitment - thank you for your part in that.
