      Great Challenges and work-culture

      Pros

      Challanging, creative, and contantly moving forward. Doing research in a company such as RSA is very unique. Also, the management is very unique as many of its memebers are also from hard scientific backgrounds and can easily grasp the technical and science sides of an idea. This makes communication a whole lot easier.

      Cons

      Are a bit cheap. Also, they don't fire enough. This is a strange thing to say, but having a mal-performing team member hurts the team in more than one way. Hiring process is painstakingly slow.

      Pros

      Excellent developer talent set and leadership that are not afraid to think out of the box and put those ideas into play. My direct leadership were very strong mentors. On the cutting edge in regards to security monitoring and threat prevention/mitigation. If you want to "up" your security game, this is the place.

      Cons

      Dealing with the "mothership" (EMC at the time...I believe it's Dell now). At the time we were a bit shackled by "big company" thinking and methodologies that tend to stifle the ability to move fast and when necessary, fail fast.

      Pros

      There are opportunities for women in growth and development and many in leadership positions. They try to be communicative with what is going on in the company (like with the recent acquisition). Flexible when it comes to work-life balance.

      Cons

      Still have to see what happens post-Dell acquisition.
