Pros

I had nice coworkers. People were willing to show me how to do my job. I learned excel and became advanced. The products the company makes are cool. The benefits are decent. They offer 401k with 3% match, Hyatt Legal plan, they contributed 750 to my HSA, my entire family and I used the free counseling sessions, I used their employee discount when purchasing a cell phone, and everyone in Tucson knows the name of the company. Also, the pay was competitive. My manager offered flexibility when I was going through family problems.

Cons

The training was terrible. They want diversity but expect everyone to learn the same. I was hired from a different industry with no analyst experience and had a steep learning curve. Within the first 3 months of my hire date, management started to treat me unfairly because I was not catching on quickly enough. Employees will throw you under the bus to save themselves. Once I got a negative reputation in the department, the environment became hostile. I spent too many days to count crying in the bathroom, car, and parking lot because my contributions were dismissed, I was highly misunderstood, and labeled a problem employee. People literally lied on me, misquoted me, sabotaged me, and the end of it all, I was left holding the bag. Management and tenured employees would not let me forget the mistakes I made. I felt non-existent and distrustful of management. They would say one thing and change the story later. I left because I could not handle the nice/nasty attitudes. I believe in my heart that it is the culture and not the people. Everyone was great on a personal level, but watch your back on a professional level because favoritism runs a muck.
