Sub-Companies may operate very independently, which has some benefits but can also lead to missed opportunities to leverage each other's strengths. It's also important for employees and job seekers to be aware that the staffing and contracting industry is highly cyclical in nature. During market downturns when clients have fewer open positions, there is a high risk of layoffs if billable work can't be found. Conversely, during strong markets, the day rates charged to clients for employees' work may be significantly higher than the employees' own compensation.
