Opportunity for advancement is always available. Very professional envoronment where employees are treated with resepct. Competitive wage and benefits package. An excellant employer for former military .

Cons

The nature contract instability keeps you worried.

Pay was outstanding. Some very, very smart people working there. Work/life balance never an issue ... until performance review time.

Cons

A little kid who won't grow up. Like Little Bo Peep, SAIC has lost its way and doesn't know what to do. So many opportunities to change for the better, but the employees who have been there for decades and remember the pre-IPO days + severely risk-adverse BOD + good ole boy network = a company that is being left in the dust by its competitors. Its Glory Days are long gone, but only the newer folks see it!

Cons

The newly established "Ethics Hotline" is being abused by poor performers and those who are about to be laid off. It is common knowledge spreading amongst employees that you will NOT lose your job or be laid off if you file any sort of ethics complaint. It's being used as a form of job security by the incompetent and irrelevant.
