Pros

The pay was good for the local area where it was located. Benefits were decent. You got to know many people, because it still had that small company feel even though they were part of a large corporation.

Cons

There is waaaay too much favoritism and nepotism. I've seen many, many good people let go or not promoted. Even if you worked hard and long hours, and obtained results, you would be put in the bottom of the bucket at review time because a certain percentage had to go there, no matter what each year. People that were promoted were not qualified, had poor management skills, and even worse people skills! Many times, they didn't promote from within.

While culture statement is well-intended, most opportunities given based on politics, and management plays favorites. If you're not on the"in" group, it's impossible to get ahead no matter what you do or how hard you work.
