Great people, bad management

Pros

If you are into tech, this place is amazing. They invest in the latest and greatest tools. If you have an idea, they will let you test it. You don’t have to go through a million people to get approval. They rather ask for forgiveness then ask for permission so if you have an entrepreneurial mindset, you’ve arrived at the right place. If you are hard worker and have a good manager, you will advance quickly. There are very young people in high positions (which sometimes can also be a con as they can also lack experience)

Cons

Upper management has no idea how to care for their employees. They will put your life at risk and make it seem like it is your choice. They like to call themselves a tech company, but they have very outdated policies and do not trust their employees. A lot of micromanaging. Everything is done “the German way” when it is convenient for them.

Pros

Cab facility. But it's of no use during or post pandemic.

Cons

Immature leadership team Hire and fire culture. Almost 25-30 people fired in last few months. Not a place one should consider for joining. Unnecessary work pressure on indian tech team. Primarily driven from Germany team.

Thank you for taking the time and letting us know your experience working with us. We are surprised to hear a lot of claims here which are untrue. However, we would try our best to explain a few of the aspects that you have highlighted here. 1. Cab Facility was rolled out even before COVID hit India. This was done after taking collective feedback from SIXTIANS as part of EMPLOYEE CONNECT. 2. We have not fired anyone due to the pandemic. We did not extend a few contract workers' tenures depending on the businesses' needs and few of the FTE were asked to go on PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) basis his/her performance in 2019/20. However, few chose not to opt for PIP and decided to quit. We appreciated his/her decision and we ensured to compensate them well as per offer letter guidelines. 3. SIXT India is the only development center outside of Europe. The primary reason for SIXT INDIA's presence is to cater to our clients worldwide while our business owners are in Germany, the tech team is based in our Bangalore office and are expected to deliver as per the need. However, there is no undue pressure. We also go one step and compensate employees with a compensatory off if he/she works on a holiday. We thank you and we wish you all the best!
