Pros

You can feel proud to work for such a high growth bank. The people are friendly. Everyday is different. Good customer service is the main focus and not meeting quotas (at least not yet). As a CSR information is always available. The WAG is helpful. Compared to other banks TD Commerce Bank will offer more in compensation than Chase, NorthFork/Capital One, Bank of America, and all local midsize banks. I don't know the fate of MR C but it was nice to have him around. I trust Penny Arcade will stick around. And maybe Mr C will go Green. Good bye old Commerce.

Cons

It is difficult to move up in the company. There compensation is better than other banks but gives low raises. Their % raise increase is a mere 4% which is standard for a big company like Commerce. They don't offer Bonus's or salary to small time workers. Overtime is managed so it is difficult for those who want to make more $. The worst part of the job is GREETING. Oh how much i hated to greet. Yes it helps the customer find its way to the line and sit to wait for Customer service than to run up to them.

Pros

Great opportunity for growth within the organization. Careful decisions made in hiring and as a result there is a lot of talent and low turnover. It is a very team oriented environment. The affiliation of the TD Bank Financial group and their strong balance sheet helps the reputation of the wholesale bank. Senior management supportive and well respected.

Cons

Various front office departments don't always work well together and as a result there could be more cross selling opportunities. Year end bonuses not paid until January even though fiscal year end is October 31st.

Pros

TD bank is a wonderful place to work in terms of the environment, co-workers and the management. Everyone respects you at the work place and provide you with all the assistance needed when at work. TD also promotes work and personal life balance and they offer employees time to work from home, flexible hours and flexible work places. TD has a very comprehensive benefits package and the management at TD never encourage employees to work long hours. The deadlines in the IT sections are very reasonable and does not require over 37.5 hours of work every week. I would recommend TD for anyone who is looking for a standard working environment. In the department that I worked which is Wealth Management Technology solutions, they had Foosball, pool and TV for employees to relax during breaks.

Cons

Although TD is a financial organization, it has an internal IT department that employs over five thousand personnel. So if you are an IT personnel the chances are your annual pay (if you are full time employee) is most likely to be below the market rate. Another downside, from my personal point of view, would be that TD being a Financial organization, does not give importance to the IT personnel, in terms of awards and bonuses. TD Bank, just like any other big organizations has several layers of management, so it is not easy to get any tasks done in a quick manner.
