Pros

None, really. Just a job to get you through college, etc. As a GSTL, I walkaround all day managing the cashiers, managing the guest service area, coordinating the cart attendants, dealing with guests that have concerns or questions or comments about the Target store in general. Usually it's hard work, thankless work, and the only reason i don't feel more sorry for myself is because of the cashiers, guest service attendants, and cart attendants that i manage and train. I know they get paid even less than me (13 bucks an hour)

Cons

Work hours get changed every week, you'll get written up for any tiny little thing, anti-union zealots, office politics, not enough pay

Target Warehouse - some good a few bad aspects

Good pay, Good benefits. Chances of promotion and advancement if you have a good education. You can apply for a job at any of the stores or offices they have nation wide so relocation is quite open.

Cons

Warehouse work is really hard work and very repetitive. Can be very fast paced and your production numbers are monitored, and count heavily towards your review

Good Management coupled with people who care ... usually. Of course, it all depends on what region you work in and whether or not you have competent management. For instance, I hated working in Virginia because they were all slave drivers where politics reigned when advancement opportunities arose. However, I love working in Colorado because the environment is a lot friendlier and the people here actually know what they're doing. Simply put, if you're someone who'd rather be busy doing a physical job than socializing all day or in an office this is a great place to work in the right region.

Cons

As stated above, different regions and districts have different ways of doing things. Some are better than others. If you want to socialize all day and not work hard physically then Target is not for you.
