Pros

Good Onsite opportunities. Lethargic working style. Good employee care. Brand value within India, gives a good impression when you work for TATAs. Good work ethics. Frequent training options. Recognition to work. HR prcatices are good. Very good RMG. Job security (Now as the top management is changed, cant be sure of this in future).

Cons

Political environment Group-ism. On-sight assignments are not very transparent. Very-very-very low compensation as compared other employers. On-sight managers are not dynamic and competent (might be 1st and 3rd pts are responsible for this) Majorly survives on support projects. Top management believes in getting contracts rather than building an international market by providing innovative solutions.

Pros

The largest IT company in Asia. Boasts of a large employee strength in excess of 120,000 Penetration into any and every market all over the globe Lot of overseas opportunities

Cons

Compensation is the worst in it's class. being such as large company, it would be expected that TCS looks to keep it's employees happy with adequate compensation. Bad job satisfaction and no recognition for a job well done. There is an attitude that any task can be achieved through freshers. 50% of the employee strength are graduates with less than 2-3 three years of experience, which means that they often do not have the experience to accomplish many tasks. The middle management is very often highly incompetent, and because of this, the team suffers.

Pros

It doesn't fire its employees. Hires freshers, and forces experienced employees to quit by not giving them the increments they deserve as per current industry standards. This keeps their operating costs lower, but at the cost of quality which an experienced professional can provide.

Cons

This company sucks big time. Poor pay packages. Underpaid employees. Not employee friendly. Pathetic food. Low quality of work. Very unprofessional.
