Pros

Dallas, although low living cost, might not be the city you want to live.

Cons

if you like Dallas, it's a great company to work for. Not super busy. Can have a good balance of life and work. Management in my department is great.

Pros

TI is a long-term player with solid management. Despite the current economic hardships and difficult business decisions ahead (which will never please everyone), TI should be in a better position to come out stronger on the other side of the downturn. TI has a first-rate ethical culture. TI also offers a good work-life balance, and decent if not stellar compensation and benefits.

Cons

In my department, there are limited opportunities for advancement once you reach a certain level.
