      Pros

      Great company! Good opportunities for those that are really interested in a career path. For being a global company and a well known mark, makes me proud of working there. UL values are based on integrity, competitiveness and collaboration.

      Cons

      Matrix organization sometimes creates confictive situations in the command chain. Due to global spamming, some cultural aspects also cause administrative difficulties. Workload balance is an issue in some locations also.

      Pros

      the mission 401K match is awesome large investment in training programs

      Cons

      review process uses bell curve/forced ranking model so it is nearly impossible to get above a 3 on the 3-5 scale (ie...for everyone who gets a 4 someone has to get a 2). As a manager this is makes reviews hard to deliver and employees find it demotivating. There are numerous layers of senior leadership that are clearly not aligned on priorities and are out of touch with the business

      Management solicits opinions and then ignores feedback. Management communication with employees was abysmal.
