Pros

Most rewarding work in the world. Work alongside some of the most incredible people Most challenging and rewarding work environment Lots of responsibility at a young age

Cons

The Army is great at getting a bunch of people to one place on time to do the same thing over and over. As a large bureaucratic organization, the army struggles to take advantage of soldiers individual talents and skills. Work life balance can feel non-existent. Your time is not valued. Fail to attract and retain quality officers. Obsessed with MS Powerpoint. Individuals are treated as completely replaceable and their skills are not valued, promotion system is far from merit-based.
