Pros

If you’re not too ambitious and just want a secure paycheck, Uniper’s fine. Stable job, decent benefits, and not too much pressure day to day.

Cons

Middle management honestly has no clue what’s really going on half the time. Decisions feel out of touch and top-down, like they’re just ticking boxes. Also, there’s this awkward push to meet female quotas in leadership roles, but it doesn’t feel like it’s about real inclusion—it’s more like filling stats. It actually makes things worse sometimes. The whole place runs on classic old-school corporate vibes—hierarchy everywhere, loads of meetings, very little space to actually grow or do anything meaningful. If you wanna make an impact, this probably isn’t it.

Pros

Flexible working hours. Free training for anything that suits your role. A (mostly) healthy culture. Benefits and bonuses are good - just need more up to date paperwork so it's not too hard to understand. Offices are refurbed leaving them to be a nicer atmosphere. Digitalization is now a priority and is being pushed, so people are working more efficiently.

Cons

The strategy and management seems to change every time you return to the office, leaving people unsure as to where they currently sit. Very German focused, with a tendency to ignore UK. Since Covid, the offices are quiet (hence the refurb) but people still prefer to work from home. Loads of processes however hardly have been documented and difficult to find - seems to have been an issue since the E.ON split and nothing was carried over properly. HR work at a slow pace, assuming it's due to a high workload or reduced staff.
