      Pros

      If want to be in virtualization this is the place to be. Rock-solid products. Smart people. CEO really smart.

      Cons

      Working from a satellite office means you often get overlooked. Can't travel anywhere anymore due to cost saving measures. Mid-management make either a) no decisions or b) mostly stupid ones.

      Great Product, Great People, Frustrating Processes

      Pros

      In sales you get to work with a fantastic product that people want. My peers make coming to work fun. We help each other learn and overcome obstacles. We're able to strive for over-achievement while maintaining a positive, light & fun work environment. Entry level management is supportive and positive.

      Cons

      Communication - VMware is not good at communicating internally. There have been a few occasions when sales learned of product releases from customers. Processes - The broken internal processes are often a sales inhibitor.

      Pros

      Pros: * You will work with the bleeding edge technology (if you are lucky and find the right group) * You have a chance of making a significant impact on the way things are done in IT departments around the world. * The compensation is decent, but not spectacular. * The pressure to deliver is not very high, although VMW is by no means a free ride.

      Cons

      The company has become very big. It's hard to get noticed, even if you are good. Corporate politics is playing an ever increasing role.
