Great Benefits - Hostile Environment

Pros

The company offers great benefits and has very competitive pay. You get four weeks of vacation every year including your first year plus holidays. The health coverage plans and 401K are good.

Cons

Hostile work environment . Management and employees are poor communicators and do not treat each other with professional courtesy that is the norm at most organizations.

It's a job. Good over time. Portland is fun. Good 401K match.

Cons

Everything else. Terrible culture. Managers hired by connection and have almost no skill. Pay is now below industry standard 19.00/hr to start when other companies pay 21.50 or MORE. Portland management is petty and vindictive. Everyone at site pretty much hates job. Been here 8 months and will be leaving soon. HUGE turnover. Wind is growing but Vestas isn't getting many orders compared to other manufacturers so I assume they will be bought out pretty soon and broken up since turbines V-80s are unreliable. I hear so many stories about how bad company is that at first I thought people were joking. Really, you are hurting or delaying your career by coming here.
