Pros

The work is challenging with many projects coming back to back. You are equipped with tools necessary for the job and more. The resources you have are many except time. You may have access to external consultants. The people around you are hand picked, they are talented, usually competitive and knowledgeable. The company is multinational in nature, you may work with teams outside your base country. The size of system you will work on is overwhelmingly large, you have to know many things at once to be able to do projects. You learn something new about the system you are working almost everyday. excellent work/life opportunity, you have work from home days every week, basically up to your manager and the work you do, but you can basically work from home everyday. office environment is cool. a lot of events such as family visit day (you can bring your core family members to office), spring/summer/Christmas parties, pizza day, etc. You can have a clear career path.

Cons

The compensation package in Porto is not competitive. The salary is lower than average technology company in Portugal. You get a good private insurance policy though (Multicare). The number of tasks you may have are overwhelming, you may have to work on multiple tasks at a time. Based on the team you are working, the number of team mates could be high, the size of team could be unnecessarily large. (They however go through a lot of reorganizations and you might end up in a smaller team after a while). sometimes there are unnecessary meetings. the parking area in Porto office is badly managed, you may not get a spot. public transportation to Porto office is not good. depending on your preference, working on open office could be overwhelming.
