Pros

Many opportunities to switch withing the company to other departments around the globe. Vestas also has a great working environment and attitude towards its fellow employees, always lending a hand. As far as I am concerned Vestas offers the opportunity for fast career progression if one is willing to move to different countries and apply oneself.

Cons

Not a very stable company. Many organisational changes happening frequently. Silo thinking is slowly becoming a thing of the past, but to this date is still very evident. Some aspects of the windturbine are highly developed and a lot of resources are being poured into it while others are being somewhat neglected, hindering the ability of new innovative designs.

Pros

investment into infrastructure when the company was profitable meant that facilities and IT systems were top notch. a truly global company at the time.

Cons

lots of changes during 2012 meant that people were put into positions but had no idea how to conduct that role. Many people left the company and company restructuring meant not enough resources to complete projects that were "cooking" for several months/years. (Number of employees went from 23,000+ employees down to <17,000 at the time (30% of workforce made redundant or forced out in a year's time).
