      A sinking ship, clueless management

      Pros

      Good benefits in that they don't require any contributions from the employee. Interesting technology.

      Cons

      Absolutely clueless leadership in Denmark. Working for the Americas sales/service organization I saw leaders who had no idea what it meant to lead. VPs were prolific, and didn't need to be at such a high level. Money was being spent left and right on the most silly things, yet we were going through constant layoffs, and they still are. Quality issues are abundant, and yet the technical staff are all more interested in working on the next generation rather than on what's current. Very high stress given the cost cutting initiatives going on constantly.

      Pros

      Vestas has fantastic benefits and really emphasizes a great work-life balance. It's a relatively young company, so there's a lot of opportunity to make a big impact.

      Cons

      Vestas is a Danish company. I worked at a satellite office in the US, and it was challenging to get information out of Denmark at times. In addition, there were a lot of 5 am meetings (Colorado time) to communicate with our Danish colleagues.

      Past executive management as well as middle management were incompetent Many of the factories are in small cities Regular lay offs Denmark centric organisation Immature and unstructured organisation
