Flexible working hours Managers are generally empathetic towards colleague’s personal commitments outside of work; kids or health issues

Cons

Lack of authority and empowerment for staff in APAC across key departments; HR, marketing, finance and research. It almost feels like only the revenue churning teams are allowed to do what that is needed. All high level executives are centralized in the UK (hq) and America (hq of parent company Verisk). Dire need for better network system in IT and Technology. Career progression path and bonus allocation is also unclear; quoting manager who said “I am not sure myself”.

good work life balance. good benefits in place.

Cons

despite being optimitic by nature, I can't see myself working for this company next year as there is no room to progress in the organisation. All current managers have been recently promoted from their previous jobs, so the business won't create any new position for managers.

Good starting place to learn the energy industry.... but think about your exit plan after 18 months

Pros

Provides lots of opportunities to network with colleagues via pay day drinks, welcome pizza for new starters etc. Good reputation in industry, but others competitors are catching up.

Cons

Middle managers are inexperienced and they are actively stifling more junior talented people who are walking out the door on a weekly basis. Hold managers accountable for people development and stop them sabotaging the talent pipeline for their own personal gain. I have witnessed a minority of employees who have said derogatory comments, based on gender and ethnicity, about fellow colleagues and clients on several occasions.
