New CEO same management

Pros

non pay benefits good if you have been around for a wee while. Company still has a good reputation but its waning

Cons

Pay progression perennially below inflation, same poor management (who call themselves leaders) clinging on till the grim death… Radical candour like water … flows downhill. Myopic focus on low cost employment centres and a lack of understanding of what it takes to be a knowledge expert. Hurdles to analyst progression are myriad and high… not so for managers

Pros

Originally was a good place for career starting and used to have a great culture Easy interview process for consulting

Cons

Has become a bit of a dead end for talented workers After the private equity takeover, it's become quite toxic People of color and with diverse identities are leaving in droves The majority of the original leadership has left

Pros

Product company Work culture Leaves and time flexible

Cons

Micro-management to some extent. They even create a whatsapp group where you need to inform when you are starting to work, at what time n all...pay is less. Worst thing woodmac does is it hired me for java, interviewed me for java only...2 interview rounds taken and questions asked were of Java...i have 8+ YOE in java... And when i got hired, the tasks given to me are of DotNet. No java. And they justify this thing with the line "keep an open mind". Now this is the manager's thinking to keep open mind n all but they should not force everyone to have the same thinking or belief.. Now if am working on java for 8+ years, suddenly i work on dotnet for 1 year...the next company when i get interviewed in will ask me about the project and i'll need to start talking about dotnet while the job am applying to will be of Java...i'll start losing the jobs and fail in the interviews then. Not sure why they interviewed and hired an experienced java developer when they had the work only on DotNet. Messed up with my career. Now am again in the market left out to search for the jobs.
