Nice offices and hybrid model

Cons

Zalando core values and company culture are only tons of lies.Zalando is becoming a very toxic work environment with a poor leadership in all its departments.The majority of the salaries are low and not competitive in comparison to the German market.Zalando has announced two months ago that it will lay off hundred of employees,but after two months employees are living in uncertainty,fear and zero transparency, as they still know nothing about their future,and this will go on for much longer.After so many hear at Zalando I'm very disappointed in Zalando's choice to do laysoff, announcing them without having a plan in mind.

- There is work-life balance

- Layoff handling was done poorly. - Favoritism: Management pushes some people in the team while holding back others. When asked why I wasn't pushed forward in my one-on-one, I received a response saying that another colleague is trying to get promoted and that's why they were spending all their resources on his promotion. - Toxic environment created by colleagues and management doesn't do anything other than team events. - Lack of transparency. - Giving feedback to management about current problems in the company and in the team doesn't work. On the contrary, it affects your personal growth badly.

Powerful hardware (new MBP 14") Good home office setup (desk, screen, lamp, chair, etc.) Great tooling

Cons

No equity for levels C7 (senior) and below No autonomy Micromanaging leadership Feature factory No focus on personal growth Lack of focus on software quality Constant production issues - forced 24/7 (it is paid, at least)
