Pros

Excellent benefits package and the HR people are wonderful.

Cons

The dept. I worked in was very small and the manager was never there. Not a very good manager as he didn't seem to understand the job at all. The training left something to be dseired, for me it was a learn as you go process. I never had any interaction with the manager of our department and there were only 4 of us. Work was slow at times and there were a lot of days that I say around doing nothing. That could be a good thing if you don't like to use your brain and think,

Pros

Thyssenkrupp is a good company to work for, but AIN is going throw some growing pains at this time. AIN is a good place to get involved in the Thyssenkrupp family, but given the current situation one should consider trying to move to another division under the ThyssenKrupp umbrella. ThyssenKrupp is very good about hiring from within, so using AIN as a stepping stone can be considered a real possibility. If you do decide to use AIN as a stepping stone to another division of Thyssenkrupp, you should negoiate high, like 15% higher than market value of the position, and you are likely to get it. Other divsions of Thyssenkrupp pay their entry level employees poorly, if they can, but AIN generally starts higher and offers less opportunity for the future.

Cons

Little room to go anywhere. Working for AIN can also be quite frustrating; you may often feel you are the only person doing your job. You have to fix many of your own problems, and this becomes difficult when you are losing customer due to having the very same problems. Good news is that it is extremely hard to get fired from AIN; there are people here that have done little to nothing for quite some time, and they still make decent salaries. If you take a position with AIN ask for more than you would at other works places.
