I applied in-person. I interviewed at ALDI (Stafford Place, VA) in Jul 2017
Interview
Fairly quick. First was with general manager, second was with store manager. About two days later after the store manager interview I received a phone call asking if I would accept the position and to come in that day to fill out paperwork.

Received call within next couple days to schedule in-person interview with DM.
Interview with DM was quick, and relatively easy--they really want hard workers! Addressed a lot of the "problems" you'll see on Glassdoor reviews about the shift pay that changes (apparently at least in this area, they are trying to move away from that pay structure due to complaints!), and how their store generally runs. They also straight up say that they run very lean, so if you want this job you should highlight examples of when you worked with a lean crew. Was told there would be 4 interviews, and thoroughly explained how training would go. Also they proudly shared all the benefits you'd get--honestly, a LOT of good benefits!
Within the hour, got call from the Store Manager to schedule In-Person interview and our schedules aligned that I was able to come in that same day.
The interview with SM was less formal but a lot more insightful into the manager you would be working with directly as well as how the store generally runs. Fairly simple questions again and a great chance to really connect with SM and learn about your position.
Was given a call within couple of days from DM to schedule 3rd interview with another upper executive, but at this point I declined to continue the interview process--the position and leadership team were all great, but I had personal reasons to decline. They were very fast to move you along and not waste your time, and told me after each interview how I did!
I applied in-person. I interviewed at ALDI (Collierville, TN) in Aug 2017
Interview
The interview process is fairly simple. They ask you the normal questions any job would ask like what do you want to work for aldi, why should we choose you, what do you know about aldi. I would definitely know somethings about aldi before the interview because you will be asked.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is my favorite restaurant & why? (This question was asked to determine the way I view establishments & if my views aligned with aldi. )
