I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at ALDI (New York, NY) in Feb 2012
Interview
very awkward, interview with 2 kids right out of college who had dead fish handshakes and were scared to make eye contact. it was odd to say the least. uncomfortable to watch the interviewers
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
asked if I was comfortable putting trucks away and being on my feet all day. asked like 30 questions about stealing
I applied online. I interviewed at ALDI (Lichfield, England) in Jun 2016
Interview
Applied via the Aldi web site undertook numerical on-line tests and progressed to video interview. The video interview is time critical as you are counted down after viewing a written question. the guide says that you can review and practice your answers but you cant. I then progressed to a telephone interview. The telephone interview was very formulaic and quite restrictive in how you are able to give your answers. Make sure you have a land line available in case your mobile signal is weak.
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
tell me about a time where you have managed a team.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI (Birmingham, England) in May 2016
Interview
Lots of pre-interviews: application on line, then a video, then a phone call interview. Then I was invited to an interview. that's when the fun really started. I was interviewed in a Group Assessment this large lady interviewed us but left the room 3 times during the Assessment.
I knew I hadn't got the job as she didn't give me any eye contact after 5 minutes, she then said we would sweat if we worked at Aldi. It made me laugh I don't think she sweated in her life!
Funny thing is they are still interviewing - what do they want blood!
