I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AT&T in Jan 2008
Interview
I applied in October of 2007 online, two days later was directed back to the site to complete a 175 questions (approx.) personality profile. After this, it was about 2 weeks before I heard anything back. Then got a call from a hiring manager asking me to fill out and submit an "official" AT&T application. After this, a different manager called and requested I come in for face to face interview. Interview number one took place about 2 weeks after this call. It was a 2 manager (store and assistant store) interview. 7 days later, I'm asked to come back for another interview, this time with the store and area managers. That same evening I received a call from the store manager offering me the position. The following weeks I received the official offer via mail, that contained my starting hourly rate, as well as my starting date for training. The one helpful point I can offer to anyone seeking employment there is, to ask a lot of questions about how you can help the company and your store grow from inside and outside of those walls. It doesn't hurt to already have a few ideas and let them know how you'd like to implement them if chosen. I got great feedback from this and additional pointers about how they would help me make it happen if chosen.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Most of the questions are behavioral, they discuss building a successful team, sales ability, decision making, managing conflict and things of this nature. They have a guide for every position, that they'll view each of these categories, and ask you a question or two until they feel you've answered what they're looking for or they just decide you have no experience and are digging deep for nothing.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T (Virginia Beach, VA) in Mar 2010
Interview
I first had a phone interview with someone name Pat in New Jersey. After she asked me questions in regards to my experience and told me a little about the job, she told me a local manager would contact me for an interview. I then met with the local manager and a regional manager and thought the interview went well. I followed up with a thank you email to which they never responded. I never heard from them again.
