Interview
This was an initial phone interview that lasted just over 11 minutes. Overall, I found it to be quite standard. However, if you are provided Google Meets information when you are sent the phone interview email invitation, DO NOT use it. The company recruiter will call your phone directly. I made the mistake of assuming they wanted me to call into the Google Meets number they provided me, and missed the recruiters call by two minutes while I was waiting for them in the Google call. I felt this annoyed them when I figured out who called me and called them back. GoPuff, do not provide Google Meets, Zoom or any other platform information if you do not intend to use it for the interview.

Question 1
1) What do you know about GoPuff? 2) Why do you think you're a match for this role? 3) What are your salary expectations?
The interview process was respectful and expedient. I applied and the recruiter reached out within a few days for an interview. I had quick follow on interviews with the team and my would-be manager. There was one interview scheduled that the team member last minute couldn't join, so another manager hopped on to speak with me, give me another perspective on the team and answer questions of mine. It was a good way to pivot and use the time well.

Interview
I recently went through the hiring process at GoPuff, and I feel compelled to share my experience on Glassdoor.
While the recruiter I interacted with was very personable and friendly, it quickly became apparent that this company suffers from a severe lack of organization and communication.
First and foremost, the job posting explicitly stated that the position was remote. However, when I engaged with the recruiter, I was asked if I could come into the office three times a week. It took weeks for them to clarify that remote work was indeed an option for this position as an exception. This kind of flip-flopping was the first sign of a clear lack of alignment within the company.
The recruiter used LinkedIn messages as opposed to email to update me. This was fine I guess -- but a little annoying as I hate going on LinkedIn and definitely prefer email or even text, but what can you do. The LinkedIn communication was a bit erratic as well.
The interview process consisted of a 1:1 interview with a Director-level PM and a panel of three 30-minute 1:1 interviews. None of these interviewers were the hiring manager, and they were unable to provide clear answers to my questions about the role, which was for an adtech position. To add insult to injury, after all this effort and time invested in the interviews, I received a vague and impersonal rejection via LinkedIn message. There was no feedback provided, leaving me puzzled and questioning the entire process. To be honest I was quite surprised as I thought the interviews went well and I usually have a good feel about these things, but I guess I was wrong!
In conclusion, my experience with GoPuff's recruitment process was a disorganized and frustrating mess. If you value clear communication, respect for candidates' preferences, and a well-structured interview process, think twice before pursuing opportunities here.
