The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Gopuff (New York, NY)
Interview
Spoke with a recruiter who contacted me about a role there a while back. After an exploratory interview that was a discussion of leading a research team, they requested that I complete a heavy statistical analysis of product mix using their own data set and issue a set of recommendations. It would have required 30 to 40 hours of hard-core data scientist-style analysis in Tableau and R.
I have a rule of never working for free, and the amount of work requested was downright exploitative. Secondly, it was a question set for a data scientist as an individual contributor, and not a strategic question set for a researcher.
I declined.

Interview
I was contacted by a Recruiter after I applied on LinkedIn.
She said she'd call me the following day at 10 AM.
I never got a call from her, after she scheduled me for a call.
This is simply unacceptable. Please have the courtesy to cancel or reschedule a call if you don't have time.
How are you going to compete with Amazon, if you can't even stick to your word and call people back?
Is this how GoPuff treats prospective employees? How are they treated once aboard?
Do they schedule meetings with employees, and then ghost at the last minute, with no follow up?
Be better, GoPuff.
Also, might want to consider a name change. You sound like a vaping company.
