Round One was a phone call.
then a 30-minute interview with two reps who were super relaxed and helped me feel at ease
and last a 3 hour interview process with various reps and a mini-presentation at the end which will be completing today.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Boston, MA) in Feb 2015
Interview
The interview process is as thorough and in-depth as it gets, which is to be expected, given the quality of the company and how in-demand it is as an employer. I submitted an application one night shortly after midnight and woke up with an email in my inbox requesting an initial phone interview. Because of snow and expected scheduling backup, the phone interview was rescheduled twice before it actually took place.
My recruiter was fabulous, best I've ever interviewed with. She made the phone interview a breeze. Just make sure you research the company thoroughly beforehand.
Was contacted the next day about a video interview submission, which I completed that night. This is pressure-filled, as you get only 30 seconds to prepare for each of five questions and ONE attempt to answer it. If you present yourself as likable, speak clearly, concisely, and thoughtfully, and if you prepared well for your previous phone interview, you should move through to the next stage without much problem.
The next step was to meet for an in-person interview. My recruiter (same one as the phone interview) worked with me to find a perfect time to come in and speak with her, a support manager, and the VP of Global Customer Success. All three of them were fantastic, very effective in answering questions, and were engaging throughout the entire process. I felt at home.
The next day I was called by my recruiter to say the hiring managers moved forward with candidates that had more professional experience, but the call ended very well and favorably, nonetheless.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell us about a problem you've encountered before that there was no solution to. How did you solve it?
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at HubSpot in Sep 2014
Interview
Applied within a day and got a call back for a phone interview. Basic interview questions. Recruiter asked what can you bring into the company. While on the interview, they will try and get to know you as a question and ask you for your hobbies - then they will ask you to go into detail about what your hobby is or describe the process to them. Be very articulate when you speak and concrete.
