I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Publix in Jun 2011
Interview
It went really good because I had a friend already working there.
The interview went well but he told me that I have to shave the bottom of my gotee off.
I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Publix (Gainesville, FL) in May 2015
Interview
I applied at my chosen Publix in the store and got called in for an interview a week later. The interview was slightly casual and overall a good experience. They asked fairly simple questions and at the end I was offered a job making $8.50/hr and had to take a drug test.

Interview
You apply in store at a kiosk and once you submit your application the hiring manager will review it and call you back for an interview if they want to hire you. If you're called back for the interview you're already hired. However, getting a call back is so hard. To have the manager take notice of you you have to go into the store after you apply and ask to speak to the manager to introduce yourself. They want to see initiative and they want to weed out the shy people.
