I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Starbucks (Dallas, TX) in Oct 2025
Interview
Went through a 2 step interview process. The first round was with a nice store manager who informed me it was too close to the holiday season to hire for a Shift Supervisor since I wouldn’t be trained in time so they’re only looking for Baristas. This was confusing as they made a job posting looking for a Shift Supervisor that I applied to. I passed the first round and moved on to an interview with the District Manager. I was asked to come at 8:30am and I arrived 10 minutes before the interview. I waited 45 minutes as the District Manager was already in an interview and was running behind. I finally interviewed with the District Manager and was verbally offered a Barista position by the Store Manager days later. Store Manager said he would send the email offer the next day. I ended up waiting a week to receive the offer letter. I declined as it seems they’re very unorganized and are not respectful of their candidates time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time when you disagreed with someone you worked with and how did you handle it?
The interview process was quite simple and focused on both my past experiences and how I would navigate a series of hypothetical situations. I was also asked about my interest in the company and role. It was quite pleasant.
The interview was with the Store manager and then another stores manager while presenting a coffee tasting to show off your knowledge of coffee and pairings. It was two separate interviews.
