I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Starbucks (Austin, TX) in Apr 2009
Interview
I sat down with my current store manager and reviewed my performance as a barista. He then asked me a series of question to see how i would handle certain situations. He also asked me question about times i had made mistakes and learned from them. He also asked me how i have grown in the last year. After I interviewed with him, i had a sit down with my district manager to discuss what I could bring to the management table and how i could improve our store. As long as you stay positive, it's pretty hard to do poorly on the interviews.

Question 1
Tell me about a time where you have needed to make a quick decision without knowing what policy was, and did not have the capability of asking or looking it up.

Interview
I was already working as a barista, and I was interviewing for a promotion. I sat down with another store manager other than my own that asked me the usual questions. ie: how would you handle a stressful situation? Tell me about about a time that you needed to make a quick decision without consulting a supervisor or manual? They were all very basic question, and if you have any work experience at all, it shouldn't be too difficult.
