I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target in Apr 2010
Interview
There was some waiting involved (get familiar with the "red bench"!) so make sure you plan your day accordingly - it took me about 3 hours start to finish. The interviews were 1:1 with HR manager first, store manager next. While waiting for my interviews to start I had to fill out a questionnaire (different than the one with the application) that tested basic math skills and asked general "what would you do if..." questions. Easy stuff, nothing to get nervous over. Both the HR person and store manager were very nice, they asked the usual interview questions - "Give an example of when you had to work with a team and what was the result." - "Why do you want to work at Target?", etc. In general it was a positive experience.

Interview
Very simple interview, just a couple behavioral questions. 3 interviews about 15 minutes each. all back to back. They then came back after those interviews are done almost immediately and offer a job as long as i pass a drug test. Very simple nothing to sweat over.
