Pros

1. I’m struggling to think of one. Oh you don’t have to pay for fuel, insurance, and tolls with the company car...even though I have to pay for the car. 2. Get a paycheck

Cons

1. Senior leadership has very unrealistic expectations on what needs to be done day to day. 2. Never says it but wants Field Consultants to treat franchise owners as employees. 3. Financial system is extremely old and they have 100’s of reports that make it extremely confusing and they all show different numbers....I feel this is set up to confuse the franchises 4. You get a company car but you pay for the lease. 5. Medical Benefits are awful 6. Pay increases are a joke and bonus structure is unrealistic. 7. You have meetings several times a month that is a complete waste of time and senior leadership speaks to you like you are an idiot. 8. When the corporate office messes up it’s left to the field consultant to take care of it, but no accountability with the corporate office employees. 9. We are asked to challenge the status quo, but when you do you are met with resistance and are told you are being negative. 10. Retaliation is real with 7-11....HR department is pretty much nonexistent. 11. Training of field consultants takes roughly a year, but to train a franchisee is 6 weeks....the lack of training of franchises is borderline negligible.....usually when you get a new Franchisee they understand very little, and it is up to you to fill the gaps....which are A LOT of gaps.

Pros

Jeans everyday. Culture very laidback. Bonus once a year If you are salary, 2% of annual pay. Though not guaranteed it’s nice to think it might happen.

Cons

Employees required to eat/drink 7-11 branded only in the building. You won’t see a starbucks cup anywhere on any desk out of over 1000. Lack of training and employee development. Managers are ghosts, you’ll never see them except to reprimand for those 1 on 1’s. Pay raises are dismal (1-2%) and the entire company can go years without one. If they don’t this year it’ll be year 2 of no raises for any employees!! Advancement is non-existent, rare like a unicorn. If your manager chooses not to allow you to advance, you cannot transition to another position. Health benefits are close to the amount of a car note for a family. For dental, vision, health, life n short term disability it was 375 a month. Work hours are insane. I rarely went without working at the very least 50. Bad attitudes are rampant. Entire employee morale is tragic

Pros

Good pay, decent training program, semi-flexible schedule, can work with motivated entrepreneurs

Cons

Constantly changing priorities, no sales direction, treat franchisees like employees, ZERO work life balance, no job growth opportunity unless you are willing to move to Dallas, your bonus will become utterly by chance if you keep getting switched around to subgroups, and YOU will be the grunt work for all of the poorly thought through initiatives. They will spring some surprise new initiative about every 2 months that demands you work overtime to accomplish your normal job, plus whatever new idea some director thought up that will be reversed in 2 months time.
