West coast is Run like the Mob

Pros

Steady Paycheck, Company Car, flexible Schedule, Benefits

Cons

Unqualified upper management. Most market managers do not have a clue how to lead a team or anything about the business. They depend on their staff to do their job yet get promoted every other year. Regional runs the place like a Mob, hires family and friends with little to no skill and promotes them for personal gain. Doesn’t know anything about her own job and has an employee doing everything for her just to keep her head above water. Lots of favoritism and nepetism. No support for employees who can actually “get the job done” or have the skills. Corporate leadership in Dallas is falling apart because they have allowed this nonsense to go on way too long.

Pros

above average salary and bonus structure. good opportunities for internal promotion in operations. japanese influence is very much the heart of the values.

Cons

Complex business model with many good people trying to keep it running with too many more chasing buzzwords without experienced leadership in a lot of core areas. turnover extremely high at all levels willing and unwilling.

Pros

Was a great company a few years ago. They are an old business model. Sales are dropping monthly at most units.

Cons

Current leadership is lacking basic people skills. They have no respect for Field Consultants' personal lives. Fresh food will never be a destination item when the first thing you see when you arrive at a store is a cigarette rack with a sloppy looking staffer in front of it. That will really make a person crave the food that is being touched by that same staffer.! Also, stop opening locations within blocks of eachother. You have killed the profit of franchisees by making them compete with eachother.
