Interesting technical work in an outdated dull environment

Cons

The work environment is stuck in 1985. My work space is a giant, windowless room packed with cubicles where the colors are various shades of dull gray. Other rooms have some windows, but the same cubicle/color scheme persists throughout. Suburban location

You are facing very challenging problems on a daily basis, Salary is a bit larger than with similar companies in the region, A lot of holidays and flexible working hours

Cons

very specific industry, i.e. you gain a lot of knowledge in a very narrow area the competition is large (a lot of smart people there) It is very political and tough, especially to some foreigners (you have to develop a thick skin) The environment is very nerdy
