Pros

I worked at Arvato in Münster for 2 years. The town is nice, but quiet. The office is very international and young, the benefits/bonuses are pretty good (but depends on the project). The relocation package is great (usually offered to English speaking agents only). Salaries in Münster are generally higher than in other cities in Germany, but not great at entry level jobs. Also depending on the project you might get to travel. The workers council was very helpful.

Cons

- The office is super far away from the city center, unless you want to live in an industrial area it will take you at least 40 mins to get to work. Only one bus line which only comes at peak times (8-11 and 15-19). Also there is nothing to do around the area, no restaurants or shops. - I have no words to describe how bad the canteen is... and also expensive. Only opens 3 hours a day (11 to 13). - For some reason, the office increases their profits every year, but they cut on employee benefits/bonuses because "there is not enough budget". - Terrible management who never seem to do any work, have no idea what is going on on the floors and treat employees like machines yet have obscene salaries in comparison to those of the agents. Unmotivated team leaders, ridiculously strict and pointless policies, constant change of processes... - Really disorganized HR office, who hires unprepared, unprofessional, uneducated people. Never replied to any of my emails. Never paid the recruitment benefit that is advertised all over the walls (i.e. 400€ if you introduce arvato to a friend of yours and then gets hired). - All combined results in a huge turnover rate, most people don't last 6 months.

Pros

If you are interested in IT and want to go further in this field, this may be a good starting point to learn. 90% of the people that work there are decent and you can make good friends

Cons

I worked in Münster, before joining they told you that you would get german lessons, and they would help you find somewhere to live, they do neither, they just tell you about a place that does discounted german lessons, there is alot of bullying from management and I am sure they are breaking many german employment laws, the salary is shockingly bad for the hours and work you are expected to do, you are lucky if you can survive the whole month, many people in the company were often asking for wage advances just to get by. The office hygiene is awful, hundreds of people work in that office and there is no disinfectant wipes for the desks, and i never once saw door handles and things people touch alot be cleaned.
