Pros

The pay is on the higher end of the industry. The offices aren't too shabby. A good work/life balance. My supervisors were great, but I think I got lucky

Cons

I implore you to look around if you do interview here. Notice how there's no young blood. They were the ones smart enough to get out asap. The company culture is garbage. I never realized how much I valued a company's culture until I came here. It feels extremely cliquey. Nobody says hi to each other, and they just look down at the floor while walking to avoid eye contact. Nobody here actually even cares about the industry either, I wanted to go into the industry because I was passionate about the business and wanted to work with likeminded people but nobody could care less. It's sad it really is. Also, my job is dependent upon an outdated system, the bane of my existence, iMaestro.

Pros

The company culture hasn't always been great, but the mid-lower level employees have been working hard to build more camaraderie and change the culture.

Cons

As a music company, BMG should have a more creative workspace and culture.

Frustrating: grand promises with little or no execution.

Pros

Fantastic benefits. Many opportunities for upward advancement, in part because of high turnover.

Cons

Chronic understaffing leads to overworked, stressed-out employees; said employees overwhelmingly feel that upper management will neither listen to nor support their ideas. Workers must use broken and inefficient systems to do work that many times they have not been adequately trained to do.
