Pros

None. The decent pay isn't worth it

Cons

Everything. The absolute worst management possible. All the way to the top. It's rotten. The warehouse is hours behind. In the new warehouse in Joplin Missouri the warehouse is days behind. Casey's paid drivers to quit and now we are short staffed immensely. Casey's buys trucks that are constantly breaking and doesn't see a problem with that. We don't have enough trucks or trailers to do the jobs efficiently. They've made the Casey's stores to unbearable to work at that they work on a skeleton crew In many places which directly effects the number of people available to unload the truck. Casey's just dropped $600 million to buy a chain of stores to expand their footprint...but want to take a guess at how much of a raise they gave their employees this year while working through a pandemic? A big fat 0%.

Pros

Easier work environment, familiar faces of regular customers who I got to know by name, friendly work staff

Cons

Not structured enough, rules were not enforced, minimal pay, not enough scheduled hours, called in on short notice. I loved my job at Casey's. It was friendly & familiar. The everyday duties weren't very complicated. Unloading the truck was laborous one day a week. Where the job became difficult was when I was promoted to management. There is not enough training on how to deal with customer concerns and all the things that can go wrong in a day. I.e. the cooler breaking down or a gas pump problem. There were too many gray areas of management. Too many responsibilities for not enough pay. And if you are management in one of the many 24-hr stores, you are on-call 24 hours. Most of this falls upon the assistant's shoulders since the Store Manager is salary, they don't want to be bothered in their free time, off the clock.

Pros

Get to meet very nice people. Free fountain drinks and a discount food while on the clock.

Cons

No Family life, expected to work 60 hours or more, changes manager schedule all the time, not enough money for hours worked ( you go and work an assistant manager job somewhere else you start off with more money than a manager at Casey's) .
