Pros

Easy to get the job. They don't have particularly high standards, however this isn't for the best of reasons.

Cons

The pay is 90% of the time wrong They don't pay out any bonuses If you do well, you will get no recognition, however any mistakes will be reprimanded heavily. The pay is the most minimum wage they can get away with.

Cons

Zero hr contract Expected to pay for any mistakes Expected to flog rubbish offers and nectar No bonus Min wage No bank hol bonus No night rate No xmas bonus Entire business is operated with a culture of fear No staff discount Site may close for refurbishment at any point with no notice How the company has got so big is beyond me. Needs investing for all employment law breaches All sites run by bare min staff yet everything still expected to be done

Pros

I work at one of the company's Starbucks franchise. We're entitled to 30% off our orders, as long as it's for personal use. I.E. you come in with some friends on your day off, you get 30% off the price of your coffee, but your friends have to pay full price. One free coffee a day (which is a bit insulting, when a cup of coffee costs next to nothing to make)

Cons

As a 'full time employee' the most I've ever worked in one week is 30 hours. Full time is generally 35-40 hours so how they can call this a full time position is beyond me. Very low pay - especially considering what other franchises pay their employees for the exact same job. Other franchises pay £1 an hour more - this quickly adds up come payday. Outdated uniform policy (no tattoo's to be on show, only blonde/brown/black hair allowed). Condescending and rude management that have no real skills to be in their position. Expected to be impressed when seeing 'big bosses' arrive in Audi's. If the company can afford Audi's for all members of senior management surely they can pay the people actually making the company money a better hourly rate. I generally feel not very valued at all.
